 INTRODUCTION:

 

The Quality control Guidelines for manufacturing of apparel. The purpose design and operation of Quality Control program for Suppliers. It describes In-process quality control measures that may be applied during manufacturing operations as well as final quality inspection procedures for finished merchandise.

 

There guidelines can assist you in setting up your own quality control program for apparel. For purpose of illustration reference are made through out this manual to garments bundles and other elements of apparel manufacturing. Naturally the same principles apply to the manufacture of soft home furnished such as Bed spreads, draperies and similar items.

 

 

PURPOSE OF QUALITY CONTROL

 

 

It is a must for every purchaser or Buyer to demand from the suppliers first Quality merchandise

The purpose of this quality Control program is to assist manufacturers in meeting standards required. These are product quality objective committed to selling only high quality. Well designed safe and reliable products which meet the customers requirements. All sources are responsible for quality design and control compliance to the standards. Products consistency and adherence to all Government requirements.

 

All product received are subject to inspection for compliance standards Merchandise which does not confirm to the stated standards is subject to the purchaser remedies stated on the buying control purchase order. Letter of agreement or equivalent document.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

    1. GENERAL STRATEGY

 

 

These instructions and guidelines applied to all Retail apparel directly imported from Asia and Europe for all particular buyer/purchaser.

 

It is a intended that all privet level warning apparel including soft home furnishing. Purchased by purchaser/Buyer be inspected in the factory in the country of origin prior to shipment to the country destination merchandise inspection will be.

 

 

 

 

 

 

PIECE GOODS QUALITY CONTROL

 

Quality soft line products require quality piece goods. Even the most outstanding manufacturing method can not compensate or defective material. PIECE GOODS INSPECTION GUIDELINE

 

 

 

Inspect piece goods upon receipt in most cases. It is not necessary for Inspectors to 100% Inspect piece goods. If are a suppliers who uses very Expensive fabrics. You probably inspect 100% to avoid producing seconds because of piece goods defects. If you don’t fit to this category it is necessary for suppliers to install a system of sample inspections. Every purchaser/Buyer recommends and required a minimum of 10% inspections of all piece goods prior to spreading. Later on this section three inspections system are being explained for the porpoise of their need.

 

Many suppliers attempt to inspect while spreading but this method is not being encouraged by majority of the purchaser/Buyer based on experienced shown that it is unrealistic to depend on the spreader to control fabric problems. The spreader is paid to spread not to inspect and efficient production of merchandise not quality of fabric is typically the spreaders first priority. Postponing piece goods inspection until the fabric is on the cutting table also increases your risk of accepting substandard shipments at the recovering dock. Which will delay and disrupt operations and increase costs therefore , the most effective approach is to have piece goods inspections in defect piece goods upon receipt.

For the purpose of this manual the term defect refers to a condition that renders merchandise as quality and or unacceptable because the defect is one or more of the following :

 

It is conspicuous. (Noticeable )

It will effect the salability of the product.

It is significantly different from the specification.

It is understood that all performance and legal requirements must be followed to the letter with no deviation allowed including ( but not limited )

QC INSPECTION DEFINITION & REQUIREMENTS:

 

All purchaser/buyer set their individual quality control program according to their system and requires supplier to incorporate this system to production. Below are some procedures of personalized purchaser /Buyer QC inspection requirements.

 

Brief introduction of system:

1.Preparation : Preliminary factory survey  ( Handled by QC dept)

 

Before order placement since this is under taken before order placement and aimed at ensuring quality meets customers needs of right source to right product.

New vendor or manufactures are requested to be visited & Survey by QA/QC department

 

A Survey Report covering factory layout. Production facilities.

 

Quoto situation & recommendation of product etc, is reviewed and approved by management level before.

Recommend to customer

 

2. Lab Testing : Material and Accessories :

 

After order placement.

 

This stage is under token after order placement confirmed and aimed at detecting any piece goods problem before production.

Preliminary testing is done coveritake care the test with vendor for customer.
